PUREALIS – A joint venture of business professionals

PUREALIS is an independent investment boutique specialized in investment and asset management (including loan servicing) of commercial real estate assets and loans. We focus on metropolitan areas and expanding mid-sized cities in Germany, as well as single asset transactions of between 5 and 25 million euros. The properties we invest in are repositionable and primarily in the asset classes of office, retail and light industrial. Our preferred investment strategies extend from manage-to-core to value-add and opportunistic.

Who is behind PUREALIS?

Gerhard Knab

Gerhard Knab is a real estate and loan investment professional with more than 15 years of experience.

Prior to founding PUREALIS he spent more than nine years at Grove International Partners (today Alpine Grove Partners), an internationally operating real estate private equity investment firm. During that period he was managing director of Lohnbach Investment Partners, an investment platform focusing on non-performing commercial real estate loans, for almost eight years.

He also held the functions of Head of European Principal Investments at the German subsidiary of the Japanese Shinsei Bank, investment analyst at Credit Suisse International and authorised manager in the Transaction Advisory Services business line at Ernst & Young.

In his career to date Gerhard Knab has managed real estate and loan investment portfolios valued at over 2 billion euros.

He has an MBA with a property financing specialisation from LMU University in Munich and an LL.M. (Real Estate Law) from the WWU University in Münster.

CapInCon

CapInCon was founded by its owner and managing director Michael Dahmen. It is a financial investment company focusing on private equity investments in start-ups and mid-caps.

CapInCon covers the full spectrum of private equity investment strategies and 15 years of investment experience, both in the private equity and real estate sectors. This experience is contributed in collaborative projects as required in the form of diverse consultancy services.

CapInCon is particularly interested in mid- to long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable growth to all involved. In the private equity segment it works with both start-ups and established enterprises, providing its partners with the support of a compact yet professional core team with broad-based expertise.

The real estate activities have now been transferred to PUREALIS with Gerhard Knab responsible for growing the business.

PUREALIS primarily invests in commercial real estate assets and loans with value-add potential. Our preferred asset classes are office, retail, mixed-use and light industrial properties.

With our loan investment program, we specialise in sub-performing and non-performing commercial real estate loans.

In terms of risk, we focus on manage-to-core, value-add and opportunistic investments.
